Account & Data Deletion
Delete your Ardya Veda account and the personal data associated with it.
Last updated 15 September 2026
You can ask us to delete your Ardya Veda account and your personal data at any time. This page explains how, what gets deleted, and what — by law — we must keep for a limited time. It applies to the Ardya Veda mobile app and the website at ardyaveda.com.
Option 1 — Delete from the app
If you have the app installed:
- Open Ardya Veda and go to your Profile.
- Open Settings (or Help).
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
Your account is then scheduled for deletion as described below. If you cannot find the option in your version of the app, use Option 2.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
Email ardyaveda@gmail.com from the email address registered on your account, with the subject “Account deletion request”. So we can verify it is you, please send it from your account email and include the name on your account. We may ask one or two questions to confirm your identity before we act.
What gets deleted
Once your request is verified, we delete or irreversibly anonymise the personal data associated with your account, including:
- your profile — name, email, phone, and sign-in identifiers;
- your health & wellness data — Prakriti and assessment results, check-ins, sleep and gut data, and consultation notes and prescriptions held in your account;
- content you created — journal entries, community posts, saved plans;
- your device push-notification tokens and app preferences.
What we keep, and for how long
A limited set of records is retained only where the law requires it or to resolve disputes, and is not used to re-identify you for any other purpose:
- Transaction and invoice records — retained for the period required under applicable tax, accounting, and financial regulations. Card and bank details are never stored by us; those are held by the payment gateway under its own policy.
- Records needed for a legal claim or to comply with a legal obligation — retained only for as long as necessary.
- Aggregated or anonymised data that can no longer identify you may be retained.
How long deletion takes
We process verified deletion requests within 30 days. There may be a short grace period during which a deletion can be reversed on request (for example, if it was made in error); after that it is permanent and cannot be undone. Backups are purged on our regular backup cycle.
After deletion
Deleting your account ends your access to the Service and to any remaining wallet balance, plans, or history. If you want a refund of an unused wallet balance, request it before deleting your account — see the Refund & Cancellation Policy. To use Ardya Veda again later, you would create a new account.
